Due to expansion and having a lot going on we are now looking to expand our management team as soon as possible, as a result we currently have positions available for assistant general managers, duty managers and venue crew. About GRUB
GRUB started out as a market stall and since then has become an award winning multi site operator specialising in street food and more recently becoming one of the most active multi use events spaces in the city. Our current venue is comprised of three bars and a cinema over two floors and a beer garden with a total capacity of 500.
About Fairfield Social Club
FAIRFIELD SOCIAL CLUB is a new mixed use live venue specialising in inclusive music events but also playing host to top class comedy and a range of other alternative events. It is comprised of one dedicated 300 cap live space with its own bar alongside a public bar, private hire space and beer garden totalling 250 cap.

ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER
We're looking for a new assistant general manager (or two) to join us over at GRUB and our new venue FAIRFIELD SOCIAL CLUB which is opening in March (both located in the vicinity of Manchester Victoria Train Station) with a dedicated winter pop up in December. The role would largely entail running the busiest shifts and looking after the most important client events whilst at times deputising for the GM.
This is a full time role (40 hours) with a starting salary of £26k per annum with enhanced pay rate available for sustained excellent delivery in the role.
Required attributes
Previous experience in a assistant general manager or bar supervisor role
A desire to work for a fiercely independent events venue
Comfortable leading a team on shift and personally pushing forward standards and work rate, setting an example to others
Must be a self starter and comfortable working independently
References
Desirable attributes
Experience of high volume venues or events
Experience of back office tasks including stock control, rota creation etc.
Proficient in use of social media and IT
Existing connections to local event and live scene
Keen interest or specialism in food, craft beer, cocktails
Cellar training/experience

DUTY MANAGER
We're looking for new duty managers to join us over at GRUB and our new venue FAIRFIELD SOCIAL CLUB which is opening in March (both located in the vicinity of Manchester Victoria Train Station) with a dedicated winter pop up in December. This is an on shift role entailing the direct management of events and bars supervising bartenders and ensuring service runs smoothly.
There is potential for this to be a full time role (36 hours minimum) or a more flexible part time role with a starting salary of £12.45 per hour with enhanced pay rate available for sustained excellent delivery in the role.
Required attributes
Previous experience in bar, restaurant or event supervision as a minimum
A desire to work for a fiercely independent business
Comfortable managing people in challenging circumstances, positive outlook
Must be able to work as part of a small shift management team maintaining standards and excellent customer service
